‘Potfest at the Palace’ will be held in 5 marquees on the lawns in front of Scone Palace and offers a great opportunity to meet the potters, get inspired and buy direct from makers.

New Forest Festival for Scone Palace
Scone Palace has announced details of its first ever ‘Forest Festival’, being held in celebration of the International Year of the Forests.
The Festival at Scone Palace will take place over the weekend June in the magnificent natural amphitheatre of the Palace’s 19th century pinetum, which boasts many notable and ancient trees and features an avenue of exotic species and David Douglas introductions.
Announcing details of the event, Elspeth Bruce, Palace Administrator said: “The event will celebrate all aspects of forests and wood and aims to raise awareness of the importance of forests environmentally, commercially and for leisure”.
“The weekend will see a wide range of activities taking place including demonstrations by the nationally acclaimed willow sculptor Trevor Leat , wildlife trails and ancient tree treasure hunts, living history performances featuring the great plant hunters, demonstrations by woodturners and craftworkers, a Latvian chainsaw sculptor, archery, plus a BBQ and other ‘al fresco’ dining options. With a great mix of educational and fun activities, the festival promises to be a perfect day out for all the family and a great way to celebrate Father's Day”.

The ever-popular Scottish Game Fair, Scotland’s biggest countryside event, will be held in Scone Palace Parklands

Entertainment includes gundog, fishing and shooting competitions; terrier racing; archery; pipe bands; falconry; dancing displays; plus children’s activities in the Game and Wildlife Conservation Hall.
Visit the Food Hall packed with the finest treats and delicacies, tickle your taste buds with culinary delights from seafood to wild boar kebabs, and chat to and buy directly from the producers to learn how they create their specialities. If all that wasn’t enough, pick up a bargain at a great range of stalls selling everything from sporting supplies to real ale and leather clothing
